The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has expressed heartfelt appreciation to Kwarans and indeed the great people of Kwara north and Baruten in particular for their overwhelming votes given to the All Progressives Congress APC at the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Rt. Hon. Engr. Danladi-Salihu who led and monitored the exercise from Ilesha-Gwanara, Baruten Local Government with the hope to draw a bead on Kwara north to deliver for APC described the outcome as a “sweet victory” in fulfillment of bulk votes the region promised the ruling party.
He also especially appreciates the leader of the party and Governor of the state, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his unique leadership style and exceptional performance on the back of which the party rode to victory as well as key stakeholders, the traditional rulers and institutions for supporting the party to come out victorious.
“We appreciate most sincerely, the people of our dear state of harmony especially Kwara north and Baruten for giving us massive support at the polls which has enabled us to reward the sterling performance of our amiable Governor, Mallam AbdulRazaq and the APC with bulk votes for our party. Specifically, we are grateful to the stakeholders of our party and all the traditional rulers and opinion leaders for contributing to our success. Indeed, not by a blame sight would we take this gesture for a ride, as we ask for more support to replicate this performance in the next (Guber and Assembly) elections, and Insha Allah, we would double up and do more for the people.”
“We must not forget to acknowledge and thank our own indefatigable Ambassador, Abdulfatahi Yahya Seriki, the Director General of the Kwara APC campaign council and all his members for a job well done”, the speaker noted while tasking the council for a repeat of the feat ahead of the Guber and Assembly election on March 11.
Rt. Hon. Engr. Danladi-Salihu equally congratulates the winners of the National Assembly election; Hon. Omar Bio; Kaiama/Baruten Federal Constituency, Hon. Ajia Saba; Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency and Senator Sulaiman Sadiq; Kwara North Senatorial district.
Others are Senator Lola Ashiru; Kwara South, Senator-elect Saliu Mustapha the Turaki of Ilorin; Kwara Central, Hon Mukhtar Shagaya; Ilorin West/Asa, Hon Ahmed Yinka Aluko; Ilorin East/South, Hon Olawuyi Ajuloopin; Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero/Ekiti and Hon Tijani Ismail; Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun.
The Gwanara-born lawmaker who is also seeking reelection to represent the good people of the Ilesha-Gwanara state constituency concluded by appealing to the people of the state to come out, on the March 11th, in large numbers to return His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for a second term as Governor of Kwara State as a way of appreciating his very many laudable and unprecedented works executed across the state.
