Before delving into this episode’s discourse, let me identify with my fellow Kwarans and Nigerians at large, the dilemma which we have been subjected to in the last 60 days! Do I hear someone say it’s more than that? You are correct. The fuel scarcity has been very terrible at this juncture I want to join the IEDPU (an umbrella body for Ilorin Emirate) to commend BOVAS & MATRIX filling Stations for their service to humanity, history will surely remember you guys for good

The last straw that broke the camel’s back is the so-called naira redesign which economic and financial experts have made it clear that it has no significance to the economy, but for reasons best known to certain powers that be: we learnt President Muhammadu Buhari “was misguided” . Kudos to Governor Nasiru El-Rufai of Kaduna, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State for their stand. Some Governor’s are sitting on the fence with meaningless broadcast being shared on social media by their DATA BOYS

Senior Advocates of Nigeria have been making conflicting pronouncements on the issue, but unfortunately Nigerian masses have continued to queue endlessly at banks to withdraw their hard earned money, while others are at the mercy of POS Operators who have joined clique of cabals

FELLOW KWARANS/NIGERIANS IT’S JUST 7 DAYS AWAY* EKU SUURU O

As clock is ticking, the election day is getting closer (7 days from now) and it’s important that we continue to remind ourselves of how powerful we are as electorate because we have been given the constitutional responsibility to choose whoever we want to lead us.

The level of poverty in this country has taken a disturbing dimension to the extent that people are ready to do anything to earn a living.

Unfortunately, the politicians are aware of this lapses and they have continued to take advantage of this situation during general elections over the years.

This brings us to the issue of mandate where we draw the curtain last time.

There have been debates and discussions about what true representation is, especially when it comes to Federal Legislature, while some believe that it is purely about lawmaking, others are of the view that it is much more beyond that.

The personality of Gbenga Power-Oyekunle, coupled with the role he has been playing over the years in touching lives of his people positively is evident enough for the great people of Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency to vote for him overwhelmingly come 25th February 2023.

It is quite unfortunate that after so many years of returning to democracy, public office holders especially Federal Lawmakers from Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun have turned the position to a conduit pipe where they only think of themselves and embark on ridiculous empowerment programmes for the innocent electorate who voted for them.

For this narrative to change in the true sense of it, the revered man by the name, Gbenga Power is the right choice for great residents of our constituency so that impact of good governance can be felt by all and sundry.

In one of his outings to Offa and Oyun Local Government Areas he was emphatic and this was what he said.

We are the only ones with the zeal for improvement in the community, it was our personal interest to bring the idea of solar power to Oja-Oba and Oja Owode to ease night activities in the two markets in Offa

When he got to Oyun, he to was not disappointed and this was the remark of the ADC Women Leader in Oyun, Mrs Ganiyat Lawal..

I am the happiest person today, Oyun people really surprised me for your mammoth turnout, I hope you will prove your loyalty to incoming Honourable during the election too.

This was another response from Gbenga Power;  To my mothers, if am given the MANDATE to represent you at the Federal House of Representatives, I pledge that one of the projects I will embark upon is empowerment because women as home managers needed a constant means of livelihood either their husbands are alive or widowed.
