The need for Muslims to be their brothers’ keepers and stick to the lessons surrounding the hijrah of the prophet Muhammad from Makkah to medinat has been stressed.

In a statement, the Chairman, Islamic Orphanage Foundation, Architect Seifullahi Alege, said there is need for the people of Nigeria to be patient and endure all challenges facing them, noting that the country is passing through what he describes as very difficult moment, due to subsidy removal on petrol.

He said the development has led to the skyrocketing of items and commodities, levelling great pains on the masses.

Architect Alege added that the prophet Muhammad encountered a series of attacks from unbelievers, but he endured before he was mandated to migrate from Makkah to medinat, the journey that changed the narrative of Islam positively.

As the Muslims across the world celebrate the beginning of the year 1445 AH, the Chairman of Islamic Orphanage Foundation tasked the people in position of authority to urgently do the needful in the area of alleviating poverty and cushioning the effects of subsidy removal in a way that will favour the entire people.

Meanwhile, Islamic Orphanage Foundation, situated in Ilorin, also thanked all individuals and corporate bodies that rally round and support the foundation in one way or the other.

The foundation also encouraged them not to relent in their support to the orphans and the less privileged in the society.

The Islamic Orphanage Foundation also wishes all Muslims a happy new Islamic year, while charging the people to pray for the country to overcome all its challenges and live with one another peacefully as exemplified by the life of prophet Muhammad.
