The Kwara State Civil Service Commission says over 97% of civil servants who sat for the 2019 promotion examination have been promoted to various grade level applicable to each candidate.
Chairman of the Commission Alhaja Habibat Anike Yusuf stated this while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Hajia Yusuf explained that Out of 1700 civil servants that sat for the exams and interview few months back, over 1600 passed the exams and thereby promoted.
She said promotion letters of the successful civil servants have been dispatched to their various Ministries, Departments and Agencies across the state, for onward presentation to individuals.
According to Hajia Yusuf, the 2020 and 2021 promotion exercise would commence immediately the 2020 budget is approved.
She however appreciated governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq for his support for civil servants in the state, especially for ensuring enable environment for the promotion exercise, amid covid-19, such that non of the candidate contracted the virus during conduct of the exercise.
