Adewale Ibrahim College Of Health Sciences Matriculates Students, Charges Them On Good Conduct

Matriculating students of Adewale Ibrahim College of Health Science have been urged to shun cultism and abide by order of their host communities to be successful in their educational careers.

Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary institutions, Senior Ibrahim Sulyman gave the advice at the Seventh convocation and matriculation ceremony of the college at the permanent site in Buari, Irepodun local government of Kwara State.

Represented by director of health, ministry of tertiary institutions, Alhaji Sikiru Garba, Senior Sulyman who said Kwara State government give enabling environment for private investors to strive, appreciated Buari, Sepeteri, Kaima, Saki and Abaji communities for accommodating the students.

Founder of the college, Professor Adewale-Ibrahim Afonja said the college had imparted positively on the graduating students to be employers of labour rather than job seekers.

Professor Afonja who is the first professor of natural medicine in Africa said graduates of the college would become employers of labour because the institution is the only college in Africa that combined acupuncture, herbal medicine, POP and orthodox medicine.

He called on matriculating students not to engage in examination malpractices and indecent dressing, but attend classes as well as be regular at their places of industrial training.

Adewale College of health sciences admitted Four Hundred and Thirty students for national diploma on scholarship, while One Hundred and Ninety students graduated from ND and HND in public health, dental technology, alternative medicine among others.

Correspondent Lanre Omotoso reports that highlight of the matriculation and graduating ceremony included giving automatic employment to four best HND students, fifty percent scholarship to best Ten ND students to pursue their HND as well as foundation laying ceremony of a Mosque by Muslim Students Society of Nigeria.
