An arewa group under the guidance of Former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Right Hon. Ghali Umar Na’abba, has commended President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for his plans to distribute palliatives to Nigerians with the aim of reducing the hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidies.
Ghali Na’abba, who is the grand patron of the Coalition of Arewa Youths and Elders group, applauded President Tinubu’s efforts to distribute eight thousand naira to over twelve million people across the country.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Grand Patron of the Coalition of Arewa Youths and Elders, Hon. Ghali Umar Na’abba, and the Convener, Musa Mujahid Zaitawa, and made available to newsmen.
The group however called on President Tinubu to ensure transparency and accountability in the distribution of the palliatives so that they can reach the masses at the grassroots who are largely affected by the removal of fuel subsidies.
