Civil Defence Commandant Meets Transporters and Market Leaders in Kwara

The state Commandant of Nigeria security and civil defence corps Makinde Iskil Ayinla has met with all relevant stakeholders in the Transportation sector, “the Iyaloja and Babaloja General” .

This is part of efforts to improve on the safety of lives and properties in Kwara state.

It may be recalled that Commandant Makinde came into the state barely three weeks ago and since his arrival, he has been making frantic efforts to meet all the necessary agencies and stakeholders so as to ensure the actualisation of the corps mandate.

Immediately he touched the shore of the state of harmony, he set the ball rolling by visiting some areas where he quickly identified some black spots that needed attention to averts possible disaster and economic sabotage.

The corps is expected to be pro active in the aspect of intelligence information, inform the government and sensitize the public about the disaster prone zones per time.

It is on this note that Commandant Makinde invited all the associations in the transportation sector in kwara state, the Iyaloja and Babaloja general of the state to discuss how these identified issues can be jointly and constructively addressed with all civility.

After a fruitful discussion, the commandant urged them to go back to their various associations and discuss with their members at all levels so that the task ahead can be jointly addressed. He commends their roles towards making Kwara a true state of Harmony. He also appreciates their cooperation with all security agencies in the state and he seeks for more supports and cooperation towards actualizing every other mandates of the corps.
