The Nigeria Union Of Teachers, NUT, Kwara State Chapter has distanced itself from purported trending WhatsApp message calling on Teachers to come for special Intervention prayer against the kwara State Government.
In a statement jointly signed by state Chairman, NUT, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Usman and Secretary, Moni Mike Modesty Itua, the union calls on teachers and the general public to disregard the message by faceless people portraying themselves as teachers.
The union noted that though it’s yet to get all it wanted from the state government, the welfare and working condition of teachers now are far better than what it was in the previous administration where teachers received half salaries, salaries in percentage and zero salary.
