Representatives of the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) are to reconvene this evening and continue their pending negotiations on how to resolve the ongoing Industrial action in tertiary institutions across the country.
The strike was caused by the disagreement between the two parties on the introduction of Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), funding for revitalization of public universities, Earned Academic Allowances (EAA), Salary Shortfall, among others and have paralysed academic activities.
Spokesperson, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Charles Akpan in an invitation sent to newsmen, disclosed that the meeting, which was adjourned last week, has been rescheduled for today, Wednesday.
