Dr Arosanyin said resuscitation of price control unit would help government to buy directly from farmers at a price that would enable them continue their farming business while government would sell to final consumers at subsided price.

Dr Arosanyin emphasized that flood, climate change, banditry, clashes between herders and farmers have resulted to food shortages for industrial development and consumption.

The National Coordinator, Zero Hunger Commodities Farmers Association of Nigeria called for palliatives such as fertilizer, irrigation equipment and chemicals to be given to real farmers and monitored by extension Officers for all year round farming.
