The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN, has lauded all governments of the five states under its North Central zone for their continuous support to Radio Nigeria FM stations in their states.
The governments are those of Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa and Plateau states where Harvest, Prime, Harmony, Precious and Highland FM stations are located respectively.
Zonal Director North Central Zone of FRCN Malam Haruna Idris gave the commendation at the opening of the Committee of Management, COM Meeting of the zone in Ilorin, Kwara State Monday.
According to the Zonal Director, governors of the five states have consistently supported FM stations of Radio Nigeria through the provision of friendly and conducive environments for their operations.
He also praised the Chief Press Secretaries to the state governors for their friendly dispositions towards the FM stations in their states.
While appealing to all governors to continue to support the stations since they serve the peoples and governments of the states, he charged all General Managers in the zone to be professional in the coverage of the states they operate.
He assured governments at all levels that the different FRCN platforms will continue to practice positive and developmental journalism that will always promote peace and unity among the citizenry.
The quarterly COM Meeting is being attended by general of all the FM stations and heads of departments in the zone.
