Former Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has arrived at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Wednesday evening.
The APC national chairman was accompanied by senior party members including the state chairman of the party, Abdullahi Abbas and Murtala Sule Garo, the deputy governorship candidate of the party in the 2023 elections.
Based on popular belief, Ganduje the immediate past governor of the state is coming to Kano for the first time since he exited the state on May 28 2023 ahead of handover.
His visit came less than two weeks after the Supreme Court affirmed the election of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the opposition New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) as the duly elected governor of Kano.
Following the APC’s defeat in the state, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had called a meeting of the party leaders in Kano and advised them to reconcile with Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the opposition NNPP and Mr Yusuf’s political godfather.
