The Patriotic Elders Forum for Peace and Unity has cautioned the United States, over security alarm recently warning its citizens to be wary of some states in Nigeria because of fear of terrorist attacks.
The Elders, who rose from an urgent meeting in Kano, on Tuesday, described the warning from the US as hypocritical and uncalled for at a time when the new Government of Ahmad Bola Tinubu is working to ensure peace all over the country.
In a Communique, the National President of the forum, Dr Bature AbdulAziz, said America and its allies can always play the global police they are known for but must not propagate fear against people wherever they are.
The Elders alleged that over time, the United States has dished out security alerts which almost all the times turned out to be fake, warning that it will be better if they change patterns by helping Nigeria not create fears.
