Haruna’s Death, A Huge Loss To Nigeria: IEDPU

The death of an ex-Honourable Commissioner and Member of the Kwara State Executive Council during the military era, Dr.Mohammed Ndakogi Haruna,has been described as a huge loss to Kwara State,Nupe nation and humanity at large.

The National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU),Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, fsi,stated this in a condolence message sent to the Emir and people of Tsaragi on the death of the distinguished Veterinary Doctor.

Alhaji Uthman, in the message signed on his behalf by the Union’s National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Imam, expressed rude shock on the death of Dr.Haruna,who he described as a thorough public servant and a good friend of Ilorin Emirate.

The IEDPU President added that the demise of Dr Haruna at this material time was particularly more painful in view of the efforts that he geared towards irrigating the historic and cultural relationships among the people of Ilorin Emirate, the Nupes and the entire Kwara North Senatorial District.

Alhaji Uthman said that the IEDPU was expecting the report of the implementation of some of the issues agreed upon at the meeting between the late statesman and the Union from Dr Haruna when his death was suddenly announced.

The Union urged the people of Tsaragi and the entire Kwara North Senatorial Zone and indeed Kwara State to take the demise of Dr Haruna as act of Allah,which no one could have prevented from happening when it did.

While condoling the relations,colleagues and associates of Dr Haruna on the development, the Union urged all the bereaved to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a worthy life in the services of Allah and humanity as he was also able to play several unforgettable roles in the spiritual, political and sociocultural development of his community and the nation while he lived.

Alhaji Uthman prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him an abode in Al-Janah Fridaouz.
