Ilorin Loot: Kwara Police Command Parades 144 Suspects

Kwara State Police Commissioner, Kayode Egbetokun says One Hundred and Forty Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the Friday 23rd of October coodirnated attack and looting spree of public and private facilities in Ilorin Metropolis.

Mr Egbetokun who Paraded the suspects while addressing a press conference explained that the suspects were arrested following combined operations of the security agencies in the state which he said would be a continuous exercise.

He said that the attack which has led to the destruction of public facilities and private businesses in the state continued on Saturday 24th of October but was met with the resistance of the combined security forces on ground.

The Commissioner who reiterated his resolve to continue to apprehend and prosecute perpetrators of the ugly act disclosed that several items looted have been recovered.

Mr Egbetokun therefore called on anyone with any of the looted items to willingly surrender them to the police or any of the head of security in the state to avoid prosecution from the law enforcement agency.

Items recovered include groceries, carts, cushion and plastic chairs, motorcycles, tricycles and vehicles used in conveying them.
