History was made Friday as the Iwo people of Osun State, South West, Nigeria became the bravest calling the bluff of political thug Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a. Sunday Igboho and his cohorts, making a bold statement that they are for One Nigeria and to hell with the politically motivated declaration of Oduduwa Republic.

The Oluwo of Iwo Land, Emperor AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi, has never hidden his commitment to One Nigeria and has since stood for that commitment.

Iwo made history because, it saved the integrity of Yoruba Land by being the first and only so far that has come out to condemn unpatriotic behaviours among the communities, which is never seen to happen against similar elements in other regions of the South, where self-centred or illiterate few like Asari Dokubo and Nnamdi Kanu have been let loose and fully backed to cause destructions to the country without collective boldness to check them.

The rally, staged by Ta’awuun group, was said to have gotten the blessings of the Oluwo and generality of good minded figures in the kingdom.

Lukman Salaudeen Ayubi, the Media Officer of the group, while confirming the the development to The DEFENDER on Saturday, said it was true the rally for one Nigeria held in Iwo.

“Yes, the information is true and correct. A rally for one Nigeria was held yesterday in Iwo and was organised by Ta’awuun.”

Asked if the rally had the Oluwo’s blessing, Ayubi said: “It has always been his word that he is for one and indivisible Nigeria and that whatever will be bring development to the country like to Iwo Kingdom will always be of special interest to him.

“Also yesterday, therefore, he gave his blessing for the rally for One Nigeria that we held which was largely attended. When we got to the palace we were told Oluwo has traveled but he later called to bless the rally,” he said.

In the meantime, many Nigerian patriots have taken to the social media to acknowledge with praises the bold statement made Friday by the Iwo people.

Where some described it as outstanding, others saw it as big slap in the faces of Professor Adetoye, Sanday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu, who, supported with their missionary collaborators, are selfishly dragging the feet of the country on the verge of collapse.

Impressed by the Iwo’s action, Egondu Okorie , a respected Igbo woman and celebrated social media influencer, posted a discourse that enabled wide range of comments.

On her Facebook timeline on Saturday, Okorie amplified one Olaniran Ayoola’s post saying: “Iwo People staging solidarity rally for oneness of Nigeria……

“Omo Oko lo’ogun Omo Ale (meaning discipline is antidote for lawlessness behaviour)…” She reposted.
