The Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who announced this in Abuja on Tuesday, said that universities are not allowed to go below 120 and Polytechnics and colleges of education, not below 100 marks for admission.

The cut-off marks were approved at the policy meeting of administrators of tertiary institutions in Nigeria, which was virtually presided over by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, represented by the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Education, Arc. Sonny Echono.

Oloyede at the 2021 policy meeting said that there would be no uniform cut-off marks for the 2021 academic session.

According to the Registrar, the meeting agreed that the total fee for Post – Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination fee should not exceed N2,000, while warning the institutions not to go beyond the agreed fee.
