Unknown gunmen on Saturday evening kidnapped the Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa, along Oza Road, in Orhiomwon Local Government Area, of the state.
The gunmen reportedly killed his official driver, before abducting Mr Okungbowa.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, a senior civil servant who prefers to be anonymous, said the incident happened after Okungbowa attended a local event in Oza.
Efforts to confirm the incident from the spokesman, Edo Police Command, Mr. Chidi Nwabuzor proofed abortive as he refused to pick up calls.
