JUST IN: Oludofian, One of Nigeria’s Longest Ruling Monarch Passes On

One of the oldest traditional ruler on the throne in Nigeria, the Oludofian of Idofian, Oba Zubair Agboola Adeyeye Oyesoro, The Second is dead.

According to the family, the Oludofian died at the earlier hours of today at the age of Ninety six during a brief illness.

According to the Chief Imam of Idofian, Alhaji Tohir Ahmed Alao, the janaizah will take place at 4pm Friday, 18 June, at the Oludofian Palace, Idofian.

Oba Zubair Agboola Adeyeye Oyesoro, The Second, ascended to the throne of Idofian on May 11th, 1965.

Meanwhile, a statement by the Chairman of Idofian Community, Chief Lanre Odofin and the Secretary, Mr Jimoh Kamaldeen directs that all activities at the popular Idofian market to be closed to mourn the late monarch.
