Kogi: Vigilante Arrest Man Disguised In Female Attire
A young man who gave his name as Musa disguised himself like a Woman in Zariagi community has been arrested by the Kogi State vigilante group in charge of Adavi local government, on Wednesday.
His suspicious feminine walk gave him away and the vigilante having notice the unusualness apprehended him.
The media aide to the local government Chairman, Jamiu Habeeb, in a statement said, the council Chairman, was at the scene to confirm the incident.
According to him, the council Chairman, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami directed the vigilante group to hand over the suspect to the Nigerian Army, whose also arrived the scene to witness the arrest for further questioning.
The suspect confirmed his name to be Musa, an indigene of Ofu Local Government Area Kogi State. He claimed to be a dancer.
However, he is yet to disclose his motive in that area by disguising as a Woman, because nobody could identify him in the Area.
The statement confirmed that the Nigerian Army has taken charge of the situation and after investigations Musa will be handed over to relevant authorities for prosecution if the case is established against him for the criminal act.
Zariagi community has been facing challenges of nefarious activities of kidnappers that have been terrorizing commuters and Residents of the area, which led government to deploy more security measures to contain the issue.
