Kwara Assembly Calls For Probe Of Public Private Partnership Bureau

Kwara State House of Assembly has urged the State Government to set up a Panel to probe activities of the defunct Kwara State Public Private Partnership Bureau, KP3.

This was part of the resolutions of the House after considering the Report of House Committee on Public Account on the Report of Auditor General on the Account of Ministries Departments and Agencies of Kwara State in Respect of Queries Raised for the Year twenty nineteen.

The Report of the Committee was presented to the House by its Chairman, Prince Saheed Popoola representing Ojomu-Balogun Constituency.

Prince Popoola observed that some Ministries Departments and Agencies failed to submit their Audited Financial Statements and Management Report as a result of non-release  of funds which hindered their ability External Audit Fee.

He advised MDAs to henceforth respond to queries within stipulated time to avoid sanction while some lawmakers in their contributions on the report advocated the need for those involved in the defunct KP3 fraud be brought to book particularly its Former Director General, Yomi Ogunshola.

Reading the Resolutions of House, Speaker Engineer Yakubu Salihu, directed Auditor General of the state to further investigate one Adeyeye  Samuel for clearing the fifty four MDAs without knowledge of Public Account Committee of the House.
