Kwara Assembly Receives Name Of Commissioner Nominee, Appointee

Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has forwarded the name of Musa Nafeesah Buge from Baruten Local Government as a Commissioner Nominee to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

According to a message from the Governor, addressed to Speaker Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu and read before other members of the assembly, Governor Abdulrazaq pointed out that the Commissioner Nominee was sent to the House inaccordance with section One Nine Two, subsection One to Five of the constitution.

The Governor also said Musa Nafeesah Buge is carefully selected to hold the position of the commissioner after taken cognizance of the provision of the section Fourteen subsection Four of the constitution

Similarly, the assembly also received nomination of QS Raheem Abdulbaqi as General Manager Kwara State Public Procurement Agency.

Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu while reading a separate message from the Governor, said, QS Abdulbaqi is being nominated to fill the vacant position of General Manager, Kwara State Public Procurement Agency for screening and confirmation by House

Our House of Assembly Correspondent, reports that Speaker Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu directed General Manager, Kwara State Public Procurement Agency Nominee to submit Thirty-Five copies of his credentials to the office the Clerk before close of work on Friday this while his screening proper is scheduled for Tuesday next week beginning at Ten O’clock in the Morning.

Kwara State House of Assembly has urged the State Government to direct State Road Traffic Management Authority to monitor activities of motor parks in Ilorin Metropolis with view to ensuring roadsides not used as motor parks

This was part of the resolutions of the House after considering Motion on Notice titled Need to Checkmate Indiscriminate Relocation of Motor Parks to Roadsides in Ilorin Metropolis moved by lawmaker representing Eesa Sawo-Igbodun Constituency, Mr Waheed Gbenga during today’s plenary

Mr Gbenga who is the Chairman, House Committee on Works and Transport, expressed concern that commercial vehicle operators have in recent times abandoned their legally allocated parks and relocated to roadsides close to their garages, constituting nuisance

Engineer Salihu therefore called on the populace to always patronize boarding vehicles only on designated motor parks across Ilorin Metropolis for obvious security reasons.
