Kwara NSCDC Sensitize Girls On Molestation
Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has sensitized primary and secondary students on issues of rape and other forms of molestation.
Kwara State Commandant of the Corps, Muhammed Tukur, during the program at Gwanara, Baruten local government area of the State, advised the students to shun immoral acts that can put their promising future in jeopardy.
Represented by the divisional officer of the NSCDC, Gwanara Division, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, the Commandant enjoined the students to use the social media for their academic advantages and not to allow it have bad influence on them.
On his part, the guest speaker, Mrs Halimat Mohammed advised the female students to avoid indecent dressing that can make them target of rape, and warned their male warned their male counterpart on the consequences of acts such as rape, drug abuse and other forms of juvenile delinquencies.
The students were also taught various ways to defend themselves from being molested and from falling victim to other immoral acts.
