The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has felicitated Mallam Saliu Mustapha on the occasion of his official turbaning ceremony as the new Turaki of Ilorin Emirate.
“The appointment of my brother, Mallam Saliu Mustapha as the Turaki of Ilorin Emirate is befitting and most deserving because of his many giant philanthropic gestures and community impact beyond the city of Ilorin, he’s a major contributor to the socio-economic development of our state through his serial human capital development programs”, Engr. Danladi-Salihu noted in a statement.
He noted that the position of Turaki is a coveted one in the history of the Northern Nigeria Emirate system and anyone who is given the title must have merited it through many years of major contributions to the socio-economic development of the land.
“On behalf of my esteemed colleagues at the Kwara State House of Assembly, the Ninth Legislature, I heartily Congratulate the new Turaki of Ilorin and wish him long and fruitful years in the service of his people”, the Speaker concluded.
