KWARA SPEAKER MOURNS APC CHIEFTAIN, CHIEF REX

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has mourned the death of an All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftain, Chief Rex Kola Olawoye describing it as a great loss to the state.

Rt Hon Engr Danladi-Salihu in a condolence message, commiserates with the Olawoye family, the people of Ifelodun Local Government, Kwara South and kwarans in general and prays God to repose his soul.

“The news of the demise of Chief Rex Olawoye is very painful and shocking, in fact it is a colossal loss to us as members of the APC and people of Kwara State. No doubt Baba Rex as he was foundly called left us with a legacy worthy of emulation by all especially his contributions to the enthronment of the _Ọ́ to gè_ government and the success of our administration. We will surely miss his wise counsel especially at this material time”, Engr. Danladi-Salihu noted in a statement.

“We are however consoled that Baba lived a good life fighting for the freedom of the people, on behalf of my esteemed colleagues in the Ninth Assembly, my condolences go to the Olaoye family, the people of Ifelodun Local Government and the Kwarans at large. I pray the soul of Baba Rex finds eternal rest”, the Speaker concluded.
