The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has expressed shock over the death of Elekan of Ekan-Meje, His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Adeyemi Ashaolu, describing it as a great loss.
Right Honourable Danladi-Salihu in a condolence message, noted that the late Elekan of Ekan-Meje, Oba Ashaolu would be solely missed by all because he served his people wholeheartedly.
“The news of the demise of His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Adeyemi Ashaolu came to us at the ninth Assembly as a rude shock, the late monarch made laudable and significant contributions to the development of his people, Ekan Meje, Oke Ero Local Government and the entire Kwara State in general”.
“On behalf of my colleagues at the House of Assembly, I Commiserate with the family of the late Elekan of Ekan Meje over the loss of the reverred Royal Father”
He also commiserated with the Kwara South Council of Traditional Chiefs and Obas as well as the good people of Ekan most importantly, Right Honourable Adetiba-Olanrewanu Rapheal, the Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly.
Right Honourable Danladi-Salihu urged the people of Ekan, especially the immediate family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that the late Oba lived a good life worthy of emulation by all and prayed God to bless the departed soul.
