KWARA SPEAKER SOLICITS FOR MORE SUPPORT OF TRADITIONAL AND RELIGIOUS LEADERS FOR GOVERNMENT OF ABDULRAHMAN ABDULRAZAQ

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has solicited for more support from Traditional, Religious and Community leaders for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in his quest to make Kwara a better place for all.

Right Honourable Danladi-Salihu made the appeal while speaking at an Empowerment Program organized by Honourable Ambali Ibrahim Olatunji, a member representing Owode Onire Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly held at Alapa in Asa Local Government area of the State.

He explained that the support became necessary because of the many giant and laudable strides of Governor AbdulRazaq especially those in the area of infrastructural facilities that have direct impact on the masses.

“I want to solicit for prayers from our religious leaders, royal blessing from our traditional leaders and support from our community leaders for our Governor, the people’s Governor whose policies and programmes have been masses-centred so that he can continue to do more”.

The Speaker noted that the recently launched 5.2 kilometres Alapa-Arobadi pilot road by the government under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Projects, RAMP among several others to come across the state, describing Alapa-Igbeti road as strategic and gateway to Kwara North where he plies to Baruten often time.

Right Honourable Danladi-Salihu urged the people to ignore side talks, key into progressive agenda of the government and continue to trust Governor AbdulRazaq stressing that, he has a lot of good programs and policies that will make life more meaningful for the people of Asa and Kwara in general.

“For us at the House of Assembly, we will continue to support and champion government’s policies and programmes that will improve the lives of our people, I therefore implore you to cooperate and support the government”.

He gave an assurance that, the 9th Assembly would liaise with the National Assembly and carry party men and women along in a bid to consolidate on the achievements of the present government by making life more comfortable for the citizenry.

The Speaker commended the organizer of the laudable empowerment programme, Honourable Ibrahim Ambali, saying that the kind gesture from his private pocket will help alleviate poverty in the area.

“This empowerment from the private pocket of Honourable Ibrahim Ambali Ibrahim Olatunji to his constituents is commendable, this same spirit of giving back to the community is what all other Honourable members at the House are equally emulating at various time and places”.

The Right Honourable equally acknowledged the newly appointed Special Adviser to the Governor on Political matters, Mallam Abdullateef Gidado-Alakawa as well as other government appointees such as the Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission, Hajia Habiba Yusuf, former Commissioner and Attorney General of the State, Barrister Salman Jawondo, among others describing them as good ambassadors of the area.

The Empowerment Program was graced by the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Majority Leader of the House of Assembly, Honourable Abubakar Olawoyin Magaji, Honourable Muhammad Baba Salihu, Honourable Babatunde Paku, Honourable Aliyu Abduwahab Opakunle among other APC party faithful.
