KWARA SPEAKER VISITS ONGOING 33KM ILESHA-GWANARA ROAD AS CONTRACTOR SETS EARLY NEXT YEAR FOR COMPLETION

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has paid an on-the-spot assessment visit to the ongoing 33km Ilesha-Gwanara road by the state government.

the member representing Ilesha-Gwanara state constituency at the State House of Assembly while inspecting the project charged the Contractor handling the project, Duravil Engineering Limited on quality and timely delivery of the work.

He told the Chief Executive Officer of Duravil, Mr. Hassan Salem Diab and other workers of the company that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is determined to complete the project and similar ongoing ones across the state in good time.

Also, the site Engineer, Duravil Engineering Limited, Salman Olalekan explained that the road project is currently at Sixty percent completion and that by December it would have reached Eighty percent with the pace the company is working and the support it receives from the state government.

Engr. Olalekan added that in the coming days, asphalt laying of some parts would commence stressing that every material and equipment needed by the company to work non-stop are already on the site.

Recall that the 33km Ilesha-Gwanara road contract was awarded, mobilized substantially, and abandoned by the immediate past government before the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq re-warded the road contract and it is now expected to be completed at the beginning of the year 2022.
