The Ilesha/Gwanara State Constituents have hailed their representative, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu describing his performance in the last two years as impressive.

The constituents made this known at the reception of scores of members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP who defected to the All Progressives Congress in Bode Babane Ward of Ilesha/Gwanara, state constituency.

Abubakar Yakubu, leader of the decampees explained that their reason for defection was because of the positive impression they had in the present government and the demonstration of the commitment to develop the state and her people, unlike the PDP that used to make empty promises to them.

Engr. Danladi-Salihu in a remark, appreciated the defectors for choosing the ruling party with a promise that they would not regret their choice of joining the APC because “Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is leaving no one behind in his developmental agenda for Kwara”, he added.

“I welcome you all to the APC, I assure you that you will not regret joining us because ours is a government that walks the talk, we are fully committed to ensuring development in every part of the state and in the last two years you can see that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has done a lot for our people”

“By December this year, God’s willing, we will connect Bode Babane to the national grid and we will increase access to water by sinking more boreholes, we would also ensure there is telecommunication mast so that our people can have access to the mobile network for ease of communication. I will also ensure that the basic health centre in this ward is fixed as i have done in other parts of my constituency”.

“I want to reassure you that the Government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq would always give priority to People’s interests and welfare unlike the previous government that paid lip service to the welfare of our people”

The Speaker who also promised empowerment for women petty traders in the constituency solicited a concerted effort for the development of Baruten, stressing that it is the only Local Government of Batonu people in the State.

Engr. Danladi-Salihu also pledged to donate Jersey, football and other equipment to the community to boost sports development at the grassroots and unearth hidden talent in the youths.

Earlier, the Rt. Hon. Speaker had paid homage to the Village Head of Bode Town, Alhaji Umar Shero Yakubu where the traditional ruler appreciated the government and offered special prayers for the success of Governor AbdulRazaq’s led administration.

Alhaji Yakubu also acknowledged and prayed for the Rt. Hon. Speaker for his many developmental projects in the constituency describing him as the first politician of Batonu extraction that would have such a great impact on his people.

Other communities visited by Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu were Kpakotoru, Babane, Akanu and Kafinta where the Ilesha/Gwanara representative interacted freely with constituents to know their challenges and assured them of more developmental interventions.

Some of the constituents – Alhasan Abubakar and Abdulkareem Zainab, who also spoke at the event noted that Hon. Danladi-Salihu’s representation and relationship with his constituency is unique and different from what they used to have in the past citing many of his infrastructure and basic amenities especially roads and water he had since assumption of office provided for the people.
