Workers in the Kwara state public service and the local government have been urged not to be deterred in the ongoing strike by activities of some individuals victimizing their actions.

The state workforce was also commended by the leadership of the labour movement in the state for the total support and cooperation on the ongoing industrial action despite harassment in some quarters.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the state chairman NLC comrade Aliyu Issa-Ore, Acting Chairman TUC Comrade Ezekiel Adegoke and their JNC counterpart Comrade Salihu Suleiman.

The labour leaders directed workers in the state to assemble at the NLC Secretariat tomorrow Thursday by Seven o’ clock in the morning for further briefing, as they would continue to guarantee their safety.
