Muslim Women Must Maintain Modesty In And Out: Dr. Hasanat

Muslim women have been enjoined to observe inner and outer modesty and refrain from behaviors that could tarnish their characters and portray them as disobedient Servants.

This admonition was delivered by Dr. Hasanat Abubakar Hameed of Arabic department, University of Ilorin while featuring on a programme on Radio Nigeria,Harmony FM, Idofian.

The University don explained that modesty in dressing is part of Muslims identity which could protect them against sexual harassment and all other violence against women folk.

Dr Hasanat also appealed to parents to be good example to their wards and monitor them from relating with bad friends and peers especially when they are in schools.

On the lingering hijab issue in Kwara state, the University don appealed to the adherents of different religions to tolerate and accommodate one another to foster peaceful coexistence which the state is known for.

She also urged the state government to urgently find lasting solution to such occurrence in the future.
