The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has begun routine food distribution for over 35,000 Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in Borno State.
The IDPs are those residing in camps, host communities and liberated areas.
In a statement by the Principal Information Officer NEMA North East, Borno State, Abdulkadir Ibrahim said the Agency as part of its responsibility provide food items to victims of insurgency.
According to the statement, NEMA North East Zonal Coordinator Wagami Lydia led the food distribution team.
Each household will get beans, rice, maize and condiments comprising seasoning, salt, tomato paste and cooking oil.
