Former Senator and Social Critic, Sheu Sanni has described as an act of foolishness, the resolution of Federal Government to continue to import arms and ammunition from the developed countries at the detriment of the local defense industry.
Sanni who stated this on his micro blog, noted that the excuse of the Nigerian Government that the western powers refused to sell weapons to it was not tenable, as there are other weapon markets outside the western Polar.
The Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Muhammed has earlier blamed the West for the failure of Nigerian Government to secure lives and property of the citizens, noting that all efforts to buy weapons from them were frustrated.
