NSCDC Arrests Sodiq, 3 Others For Killing Fulani Woman

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kwara State has arrested four persons in connection with the death of a woman.

According to the spokesperson of the command, Mr Babawale Afolabi, the deceased, Aishat Sanni, a Fulani woman, was reported missing on April 2, 2021 by Secretary of Fulani association in Esie and Ijan, Alhaji Musa Waziri, at the NSCDC Outpost in the region under Irepodun Local Government Area.

Upon investigation, the body of Aisha Sani was discovered in the bush two days later around 08:30 in the morning, half naked with cuts all over her body.

Three out of the suspects namely Rasaq Rasheed, 16; Lukman Quadri, 15 and Biliaminu Qoyum, 16, confessed that
the prime suspect,Sodiq Adams, 16 had arrested the deceased for allegedly stealing cashew nuts, but she later escaped.

Investigation further revealed that the culprits ran after the woman with an aim to rape her, but she died in the process.

Meanwhile, the Kwara NSCDC Commandant explained that the case has been transferred to the Nigerian police.
