Ogo Ilorin, a socio-cultural association has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, the Ilorin Emirate Islamic Council led by the Chief Imam, Dr Muhammad Bashir Imam Solihu and the entire Muslim Ummah on the commencement of Ramadan fast 1442AH.
National President of the Association, Alhaji Murtadha Babanbariga in a congratulatory message made available to newsmen enjoined the Muslim Ummah to increase in recitation of the Quran, acts of worship and praising of Almighty Allah so as to get more reward.
Alhaji Babanbariga also asked the Muslims to pray for the Emir of Ilorin, the City of Ilorin and those in position of authority for Allah’s continuous guidance to pilot the affairs of the state.
He reiterated that as the National President of Ogo Ilorin, he would not allow anyone, no matter how highly placed to denigrate any sons and daughters of Ilorin and her cherished heritage as bequeathed by the founding fathers, saying that if not for Allah, Yahya Gambari in his regular vlogs on Facebook almost stirred ethno-religious crisis in Ilorin.
The National President recalled the success the association recorded by taking Yahya Gambari, a Vlogger known for launching scathing attacks on the symbols and identity of Ilorin to apologise before Shaikh Muhammad Habeebullah Adam Al-Ilory, the Rector of the popular Arabic Training Centre, Agege, Lagos.
He explained that the development was informed by the voluntary decision of Yahya Gambari to repent and seek for forgiveness from those he had maligned their personality in some of his Facebook videos.
Alhaji Babanbariga commended Shykh Muhammad Habeebullah Adam Ali-Ilory for accepting Yahya Gambari’s repentance despite his many odious attacks on the Mudirul Markaz and Family as well as those who midwife the move such as Shykh Ahmad Alfulani, Emir Okanlomo, Shykh Ayoade Kajuebaba and others too numerous to mention, praying Allah to reward them abundantly.
While accepting the repentance of Yahya Gambari, the Mudirul Markaz, Shaikh Muhammad Habeebullah Adam Al-Ilory noted that it is needless for the boy to be taken to the Emir of Ilorin or any other notable personality he had run down so as not to be making a hero out of none.
Sheikh Adam Al-Ilory explained that the boy was brainwashed and misled by those he said knew little or nothing about Islam and advised parents and guardians to be wary of those they send their children and wards to learn from.
He reiterated that Islam is a religion of peace that preaches peaceful coexistence as well as kindness and tolerance towards others adding that any attempt to portray the religion of Allah in a bad and dangerous way of worship should be condemned by all.
Until now, Yahya Gambari was renowned for launching scathing attacks on the sons and daughters as well as the much-treasured heritage of Ilorin Emirate fuelling ethno-religious crisis in many of his videos on Facebook.
