Muslim parents have been advised to intensify effort for their children and wards to acquire sound western and Islamic education.
The Imam Imale of Ilorin, Sheikh Abdullah Abdulhameed who gave this advice during the walimatul Qur’an for sixteen students of An-nur Qur’an Academy Ilorin pointed out that to succeed in life requires a lot of tolerance and hardwork.
Sheikh Abdullah Abdulhameed commended the parents for their commitment and applauded the children for being obedient to memorize the holy Quran.
He salutes the courage of the proprietor of the school, Dr Abubakar Imam-Aliagan for his determination and courage to make the school a shining example of what Islamic and western education should look like.
Another Islamic scholar, Professor Shuaib Abdulbaaki-Agaka described the event as historic and impressive noting that An-nur Qur’an Academy is showcasing the heritage of Ilorin which is the citadel of Islamic and Quran knowledge.
Earlier, proprietor of An-nur Academy, Dr Abubakar Imam-Aliagan who noted that this is the third set to complete the feat said that the Quran Academy was established to groom the younger ones in world class memorisation of the holy Quran and western education.
A total of sixteen students graduated as Hafiz Quran which comprises of twelve males and four females who came from different parts of the country
