An Abuja-Kaduna bound train has been reported to have derailed on Sunday in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The train was a few minutes away after leaving its destination, Kubwa, when the incident happened.
Recall that in January 2023, the Abuja-Kaduna Train also derailed at Kubwa, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.
Then, the NRC shut down the train service while repair work commenced immediately.
It’s unknown the level and quality of repair work done then, as such incident repeats itself.
