PROMINENT NIGERIANS URGE JAMB TO CONSIDER G.S.S AFON FOR ITS CBT ENTRANCE EXAMS

A Call has gone to Joint Admission Matriculation Board(JAMB) to consider Government Secondary Unity School Afon Kwara State, for its Computer Based Test(CBT) entrance into the nation’s tertiary Institutions, to ensure more accessibility for prospective Candidates in the area.

A cross section of indigenes and old Students of the School, made the call,in an exclusive interview with our staff Correspondent, on the need to ensure judicious use of desk tops, and other accessories donated by MTN network provider to the first generation Unity School in the state,years ago

In his view, a Professor of Law Elizade University and old students of the school ,Prof Bukola Akinola,explained that the need became imperative, in view of the need to put the facilities in the Unity School,established in nineteen seventy six,by the then Military Governor George Innih into judicious use.

Also speaking,the chairman of the Kwara State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association, Prof. Issa Baba, disclosed that the Unity School,which had led the state, in many public examinations in the past and produced prominent Nigerians in all human endeavours ,should be revitalised by JAMB and the State Government,to play its leading role in human capital development,in the country.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria,Alhaji Mumini Jimoh appealed to the State Government to expedite action on the total renovation of the school,to restore its lost glory and praised the Kwara state government for its resolve to ensure total renovation of the first generation school in the state.
