The Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly Rt Hon Engr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has described the death of a former Deputy Governor of the state; Elder Peter Kisira as a great loss.
Rt. Hon. Engr. Danladi-Salihu in a condolence message issued on Saturday, described the late former Deputy Governor as a perfect gentleman who distinguished himself first as a civil servant and later as the number two citizen in the state.
“I am deeply sad to hear about the passing of our former Deputy Governor; His Excellency Elder Peter Kisira, my heartfelt condolences go out to the Kisira family, the Baruten community, the government, and the people of Kwara State during this difficult time, may his soul rest in peace”, the Speaker said.
Aged 74, the late Elder Peter Kisira was born in Ilesha-Baruba in the Baruten Local Government area and served as the Deputy Governor of the state between 2011 and 2019.
