As Christians in Nigeria and other parts of the world celebrate another Easter, emulating the virtues of sacrifice and humility of Jesus Christ has been described as fulcrum for a peaceful and progressive society.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Chairman, Gbenga Power Foundation, Honourable Gbenga Power-Oyekunle made this assertion in his Easter message.
Honourable Power-Oyekunle said that the divine intervention of Jesus Christ to lay down his life for the salvation of the whole world is the hallmark of sacrifice, just as the way he washed the feet of his disciples connote humility.
He also stressed the need to extend helping hands to the vulnerable and other less privileged people in the spirit of the season so that the joy can go round.
” Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace came into this world to preach the gospel of salvation, love, peace and kindness which got to its climax in Calvary where he was crucified leading to death and resurrection”.
