The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu says the present administration under His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has invested billions of naira to engineer massive infrastructural development across the Kwara North Senatorial District of the state.
Engr. Danladi-Salihu who stated this in his keynote address at the Kwara North Youth Town Hall meeting organized by the office of the Senior Special Assistant, Youth Engagement to the Governor, Kaosara Adeyi in Bode Saadu, Moro Local Government Area of the state appealed to the youths not to be swayed by those he described as ‘aggrieved and greedy politicians’ who refused to see ‘anything good’ in this Government.
“There is no better time to give Governor AbdulRahman our maximum support and cooperation than now, those canvasing otherwise are aggrieved and greedy politicians who have nothing to offer but are bent on taking us backward instead of next level. A lot of problems hitherto confronting us as a region (Kwara North) have been decimated up to seventy-five percent by the AbdulRazaq-led administration. Investments especially infrastructures worth billions of naira are being concentrated in Kwara North”
“In terms of human capital development, we have many reasons to be grateful to Governor, close to one thousand of Kwara Northerners are now gainfully employed in SUBEB and TESCOM, schools are being constructed and re-constructed, key political appointments are also given to us especially Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development because Mallam AbdulRazaq is not unaware of what our region can achieve with agriculture, we now enjoy basic amenities such as water, good road network; chiefly among them are Ilesha-Gwanara and Kaiama-Kishi roads, electricity, health, and many others we were lacking before the coming of this government”
“However, we are not unaware of challenges facing us as a government, certainly no system is perfect and that’s why this program like many others is coming up to engage the youth to see how we can serve them better. So let us engage political appointees in civil and constructive manners, our youth should focus less on social media and be practical, key into and participate in governance”
On the entourage of the Rt Hon Speaker were Hon Mohammed Baba Salihu, Hon Adam Ahmed Rufai, Chairman Water Corporation, Alhassan Siano Woru among other youth groups and associations across Kwara North.
The 2021 Kwara North Youth Town Hall Meeting with the theme Kwara under Governor AA: Our Strides and Plans was attended by Commissioners of Works and Transport, Agriculture and Rural Development and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Hon Rotimi Iliasu, Hon Gideon Saba and Hon Aliyu Saifuddeen, SA Political, Ag. Manager KWASSIP among other government officials.

Well said Mr speaker but governor needs to do more he should not be distracted by the criticism of the opposition it is normal in a multi parties system.For instance in the area of welfare of it’s civil servants & retiree, tertiary education school fees, infrastructure he needs to give attention to all these.
