A private owned company which specializes in Agro inputs has commissions a genetic Lab in Zaria with the aim of enhancing food production nationwide.
Speaking during the flag off ceremony the president of the company Value Village Company Sir George zangir said the aim of the gesture enhance food production in the country.
He said the genetic laboratory will serve as a research and training so that farmers will meet their aspirations.
Zangir noted that the genetic laboratory will help immensely in ensuring up to date seeds were being provided for enhanced food production.
Earlier the Acting DG Seeds Council of Nigeria Dr. Khalid ishiaku commended the company for establishing the laboratory.
In her remark the vice president value Seeds Limited Cassandra George said the laboratory was the first of it’s kind in West African Sub region.
She reassured the Commitment of the company in providing modern seeds to farmers .
