Akogun Calls For Sportsmanship As Binta Mora Takes Campaign To Unilorin FM

The Director Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Mr. Kunle Akogun has reinstated that sportsmanship should be practiced among contestants at the forthcoming election of the NUJ of the Kwara State Council.

He said this while receiving the Binta Abubakar Mora Resurgent Campaign Team, who visited Unilorin chapel of the Union, on Friday.

Akogun also advised all contestant to embrace one other and not to see the contest as a do-or-die affair, but rather as a clarion call for selfless service.

In his speech, the General Manager of the Unilorin 89.3 FM, Mr. Ibrahim Idris Akintola supported the Candidature of Binta Mora, adding that she is known, tested and trusted as a Nawojian and could do same in any capacity.

He maintained that it was high time the Kwara Council consider a female leader to take the Union to the position of envy.

The Vice-Chairman candidate, Hajiya Binta Abubakar Mora, while soliciting votes from members of the Unilorin Chapel, said her commitment will be a collective struggle if given the mandate.

She promised to Unite members of the Union if elected, and also promised to carter for the welfare of the Union at large ensuring she runs and practices an all inclusive government.

Campaign Manager of the Binta Abubakar Mora Team, Mr Lawrence Afolabi who led the team on the visit assured that a vote for Binta Abubakar Mora, as Vice Chairman of the Kwara Council of the NUJ is a vote for accountability, integrity and all inclusiveness.
