BARUTEN TIC CHAIRMAN PROMISES TO ACCELERATE DEVELOPMENT AT THE GRASSROOTS

The Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State, Honourable AbdulRasheed Ibrahim-Lafia has promised to hit the ground running, prioritize people’s welfare and accelerate development in the area.

Honourable Ibrahim-Lafia made the promise at the official inauguration of the Vice Chairman and other members of the TIC at the Local Government Headquarters in Kosubosu.

He explained that the TIC under his watch would harness the potential and optimize resources in Baruten to improve the lives of the people to complement the good works of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

The TIC Chairman also assured the people of Baruten that his administration would focus and prioritize basic amenities and education as well as diversifying the economy of the local government to fast track development.

Honourable Ibrahim-Lafia expressed deep appreciation to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for finding him and the entire members of the TIC worthy of the appointment and pledged to justify the confidence with optimal service delivery for the people.

He also commended the Speaker of the State’s House of Assembly, Right Honourable Yakubu Danladi-Salihu for his constant support as well as other critical stakeholders, adding that the TIC would not disappoint them.

Responding on behalf of the committee, the TIC Secretary, Baruten Local Government Ishaq Ibrahim Faru commended Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Right Honourable Yakubu Danladi-Salihu and other stakeholders for their support that saw them through the appointment and pledged to work as a team with the Chairman to develop Baruten.

The Legal Adviser to Baruten Local Government, Barrister Muhammad Sabi administered oath of office to the Vice Chairman and other members of the TIC.

Halimat; Vice Chairman, Ishaq Ibrahim Faru; Secretary, Gunu Yahya Sime; Supervisory Counselor for works, Adam Hajarat; Supervisory Counselor for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Ibrahim Abdullah; Supervisory Counselor for Education and Social Services and Musa Abubakar Sidiq; Supervisory Counselor for Health

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Emirs of Okuta, Ilesha, Gwanara and Yashikira, Honourable Muhammad Baba Salihu, member representing Okuta Yashikira at the Kwara House of Assembly, Kwara APC Caretaker Chairman, Honourable Abdullah Samari, Baruten APC Caretaker Local Government Chairman, Honourable Abubakar Setraco, former Kwara Commissioner for Energy, Honourable Aliu Lafia Kora-Sabi, Special Assistant on Political Matter to Governor; Abdulkareem Yusuf Dan Hawa, Special Assistant Assistant on Normadic to the Governor; Hajia Aisha Yusuf among others.
