Christians have been assured that they will overcome storms ravaging their lives if they cast their belief in Jesus Christ.
Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Archbishop Henry Ndukuba gave the assurance during a thanksgivings service of Igbomina Anglican Communion at Ijomu-Oro, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State.
Represented by Professor Onyinye Okpala and Venerable Amos Adebayo, Archbishop Ndukuba said although Satan may bring storms on the way of Christians to shake their faith, but God would not allow Satan to succeed on them.
Reading from the Book of Mark Chapter Four, verses Thirty-Seven to Thirty-Nine, Archbishop Ndukuba stressed that Jesus Christ rebuked the wind that wanted to perish His disciples in their ship.
In a remark, Bishop of Igbomina Anglican Communion, Right Reverend Emmanuel Adekola stressed the need for Christians to always take their challenges to God in prayer.
Bishop Adekola explained that Igbomina Anglican Diocese gathered together for the thanksgiving because they were not consumed by COVID-19 and other challenges of the year 2020.
While emphasising that there may be challenges in the families, Churches and nations, Bishop Emmanuel Adekola called for fervent prayers to put Satan to shame.
He noted that the Church had been able to put Satan to shame by coming together to glorify God for His mercies.
Highlight of the thanksgiving was receiving of Holy Communion by members across all Anglican Churches under Igbomina as well as giving praises to God through songs and dancing.
