Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the assassination of a senior member of the People’s Democratic Party in the State, Fatai Aborode.
Aborode was shot dead on his farm in Ibarapa North LGA, Olugbenga Fadeyi, Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed.
The Chieftain who recently defected to PDP was shot dead on his farm along Apodun road, Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government Area.
Olugbenga Fadeyi, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer who confirming the incident said the victim was robbed and shot by four unknown gunmen.
The deceased who contested for a seat in the House of Representatives under Accord Party in 2015 was rushed to Olugbon hospital, Igboora where he was confirmed dead.
