IEDPU salutes Adegboyega’s professionalism as Harmony’s GM retires
The retiring General Manager of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Harmony 103.5 FM, Idofian,Alhaji Abdulmualiy Olanrewaju Adegboyaga,has been described as a passionate professional, detribalised gentleman and genuine patriot who should be celebrated.
This commendation was made by the National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union( IEDPU),Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, fsi,while reacting to Alhaji Adegboyega’s impending disengagement from the services of the Corporation following his attainment of 35 years in public service.
Alhaji Uthman, in a statement issued on his behalf by the Union’s National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Imam, said that Alhaji Adegboyega left no one in doubt about the fact that he was in Kwara State to serve and contribute his quota to national development as a media professional and as a dutiful citizen of this great country.
The statement added that the retiring General Manager saw himself as a “son of Ilorin Emirate” as he succeeded in using the station to give the Union and its numerous activities consistently consistent quality coverage without denying other segments of the State deserved treatment.
Alhaji Uthman added that the Union would miss the true friendship and selfless professional support of the Modakeke-Osun State born media technocrat as he expressed the conviction that his successor and the station would build on the existing working relationship between the two organisations in the interest of mutual benefits and national development.
The statement,while congratulating the retiring General Manager and his relations,associates and colleagues on his glorious retirement after unblemished services to the people and government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in various capacities, wished Alhaji Adegboyega a rewarding, peaceful, healthy and long life in retirement.
