Death toll from the Kano boat mishap has continued to increase as more bodies are being recovered.
Daily News24 had reported that over 40 Quaranic school students have drowned to death on Tuesday when a boat ferrying them across river Badau in Bagwai local government area capsized.
The students were said to have met their destinies on their way to Tofa for a Maulid celebration.
On Thursday, the state authorities confirmed that thirty bodies have been recovered while eleven others are still missing.
Murtala Sule Garo, the state Commissioner for Local Government affairs confirms this when the state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje led other government officials to disburse relief materials to the bereaved families.
