Kwara Assembly Passes 2021 Appropriation Bill Into Law

Twenty twenty-one Appropriation Bill of One hundred and thirty seven point six billion naira has been passed into law by the Kwara State House of Assembly.

The budget estimate which was presented to the house by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on fifteenth December Twenty-Twenty scaled through third reading after considering the Report of House Committee on Finance and Appropriation during plenary.

Chairman House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Mr Ibrahim Ambali representing Owode-Onire Constituency, said proper implementation of the budget would turn around the economic fortunes of the state.

According to Mr Ambali, the state government had taken appropriate measures to tap into its internal resources to improve the well-being of the people

The budget size which comprised of fifty one percent recurrent expenditure and forty nine percent capital scaled through third reading before final passage during plenary.

The twenty twenty-one appropriation was reviewed upward from one hundred and thirty four point nine billion naira to one hundred and thirty seven point six billion naira representing two point two percent increase.

Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi-Salihu directed the Clerk of the House Hajia Halimah Kperogi to produce the clean copy of the Appropriation Bill for the Governor’s assent
