KWARA NSCDC DEPLOYS 1000 OFFICERS FOR SALLAH CELEBRATIONS

The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Iskil Ayinla Makinde has ordered the deployment of 1000 officers and men of the corps for the forthcoming Eid Kabir festival in all the 16 local government in the state.

This is contained in a release signed by the command’s spokesman, Babawale Zaid Afolabi and made available to newsmen in llorin on Thursday.

” The State Commandant has ordered the deployment of more than 1000 armed and regular uniformed personnel across the state to ensure security of lives and property before, during and after the Sallah” Mr Babawale disclosed.

According to him, both uniformed and plain cloth officers will be deployed to all the locations of critical and national assets, praying grounds, recreation centres markets, club houses and other identified flash points.

“All the area commanders, divisional and unit heads have been properly briefed and mandated by the state commandant to ensure hitch and crime free sallah celebrations and all the criminal minded elements are enjoined to stay away from Kwara State” He added.

The State Commandant however seized the opportunity to wish all the muslim faithfuls a happy sallah celebrations advising them to shun any action or inaction that can lead to the breakdown of law and order in the state.
